The war against the Bugs continues! A Federation Starship crash-lands on the distant Alien planet OM-1, stranding beloved leader Sky Marshal Anoke and several others, including comely but tough pilot Lola Beck. It’s up to Colonel/General Johnny Rico, reluctant hero of the original Bug Invasion on Planet P, to lead a team of Troopers on a daring rescue mission.
It’s no secret that I like B-rate sci-fi action films Its also not a secret that I think Casper Van Dien is a modern Dolph Lundgren. Starship Troopers Marauders is a pretty cool movie, the special effects and bugs were’nt as good as the first film, but they wasn’t bad either. I think that the creators of this film worked very well with their budget and delivered the best they could of. I really like how it was filmed, like the first film it had all the commercials and the “Would you like to know mores” that I loved. It also brought to the table robotic suits of war created by the federation to stomp out the bugs.
I’m glad they brought back Rico and his roughnecks for the third installment of the series cause part two was horrible. This is not a great movie by any means, it has many flaws and a lot of down time. It also has some pretty wild battle scenes and alot of action. The robots were awesome and the story was good, the only thing the film lacked was a bigger budget and a set of balls that the first film had.
It’s a fun film to watch, but I wouldn’t buy it. Give it a watch and take it for what its worth, a b-rate action film starring Casper Van Dien. I think as long as your hopes aren’t set to high and you don’t mind a little cheese and b-rate acting that you’ll enjoy the film. I did.

they made a second right? cause i never saw it so this is a shock to me that there is a third one. and that they had the balls to even go this far is crazy. i own the first one but it wasnt that great cult classic not classic like your raitings on movies here just one that a lot of people know and have at least two to three scense they love from it. but wow a third you own the second? con i give it a look?

Did anyone know that Casper Van Dien was in “Night Eyes 4″? There is another sequel for ya that nobody knew existed.
“Night Eyes” 2 and 3 used to get much play on Skinemax back in the day.
