After being bitten by a genetically altered dragonfly, high school loser Rick Riker develops superhuman abilities like incredible strength and armored skin. Rick decides to use his new powers for good and becomes a costumed crime fighter known as “The Dragonfly.” However, standing in the way of his destiny is the villainous Lou Landers. After an experiment gone wrong, Lou develops the power to steal a person’s life force and in a dastardly quest for immortality becomes the super villain, “The Hourglass.” With unimaginable strength, unbelievable speed and deeply uncomfortable tights, will the Dragonfly be able to stop the sands of The Hourglass and save the world?
Usually I don’t like parodies and spoof films, with the exception of a few I end up expecting to laugh my ass off and in the end I’m just pissed for wasting an hour and a half on some stupid comedy. Superhero Movie was actually really funny and it spoofed a lot of good hero movies. Most of the plot was ripped from the first Spider-Man film, they took a scene out of Batman, and totally dissed the X-men.
I also like Drake Bell from the Drake & Josh show, he’s a cool kid and really fit the part. I’m not a huge Leslie Nielson fan but he was funny as hell in this movie. The makers of scary movie done a really good job and a lot of the characters return to spoof on comic book heroes. Don’t expect Scary Movie funny, but I guarantee if you like comic movies you’ll get a few lifes out of superhero movie.

These always suck. I know this because I haven’t watched one since “Not Another Teen Movie”.
This one was pretty damn good, and I got to give it to Not another Teen Movie, Cerina Vincent looked pretty good topless.
