The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988)

Dr. David Bannon a.k.a David Bruce Banner is the scientist responsable for creating of the Gamma Transponder a device used to control gamma radiation. Hoping that this machine would cure him from the monster he has inside of him The Hulk. When testing the Gamma Transonder, Banner is interupted by an old colleague who shows up with an artifact known as Thor’s Hammer, with this hammer you could summon the viking warrior Thor himself. Well Thor gets summoned and pushes Banner over the edge and brings The Hulk right out of him. After the kidnapping of Banners girlfriend and the near theft of the Gamma Transponder, Thor and Hulk must work together to save the day.

For a made for t.v. film with a low budget, I think that they did one hell of a job with The Incredible Hulk Returns. Thor looked a little cheesy, but I really liked his character in this one, he was just a big beer drinking party guy who happened to punish wrong doers.I think the Classic Hulk look played by Lou Ferrigno is the way to go. I like it way better than the CG Hulk of today he should of been bigger though. I even liked the super cheesy tranformation scenes from Banner to the Hulk. the story is good, the acting is good and the special effects for thier time are good. I like this movie.

David Banner drifts into New York and goes on a subway. And with him is a woman and two guys. When the two guys attack the woman, David tries to help but is beaten and turns into The Hulk and saves the woman. When he turns back, he finds himself arrested and the woman accuses David of being her attacker. David is approached by Attorney Matt Murdock who wants to represent. When he tells Murdock that he can’t pay him, Murdock tells him that he is hoping that David can help him incriminate Wilson Fisk, a powerful criminal.

David doesn’t want any part of it but Murdock convinces him to trust him. Murdock goes to see the woman but can’t get her to change her story. Later in her room someone tries to kill her but she is saved by Daredevil, a crime fighter. Murdock tells David that he has to go trial but David says he can’t but Murdock says they have no choice. Later while David is in his cell he turns into the Hulk and escapes. David tries to leave town but Daredevil finds him and reveals himself to be Murdock

This time the Hulk teams up with super hero Daredevil, their job is to take down a big time crime syndicate. Daredevil’s part in the film was cool and very well done, what I didn’t like about him was his costume, he looked nothing like the Daredevil from the comics, he looked more like a ninja which would of been cool except I like Daredevils red leather outfit. The story was really good and the acting was on point. Its not as big budget as the Marvel movies out now but I still think for its time it is really well done.
