John Cena…Next Great Character Actor
World Wrestling Entertainment and Fox Atomic are teaming for the $20 million action vehicle “12 Rounds” which Renny Harlin will direct says Variety.
Daniel Kunka’s script centers on a New Orleans police detective (John Cena) whose girlfriend is kidnapped.
Steve Harris plays an FBI agent, Aidan Gillen is the kidnapper and Brian White plays a cop working with Cena’s character.
Production starts February 25th in New Orleans, the first WWE Film to be shot in States-side. A 2009 release is planned.
Previously John Cena starred in the Marine a film in which he played an ex-Marine whose wife is kidnapped.
I don’t even think a punchline is needed for this one.

is that a trend or are the writers still on strike?
Nah the strike is finally over, WWE just likes making dumb movies
yes but they do have great action sequencs and the beutie of the one liners
and if they follow the formula from the Marine, everything blows up
thats true but what person dosnt like big boom mattrix like big boom, BIG BOOM!
I liked the Condemned a lot.
Plus, Renny Harlin makes GREAT fucking action movies. “The Long Kiss Goodnight” is an unheralded classic.
My point is that this might be good.
did you not watch the marine man it was not all that great the acting was limited the action was unbelievable though the condemned was steve he had acting classes before he did his tv spots on nash bridges where he had a reaquring character plus it was method acting you know act angry and pissed off witch is what he was used to in the wwe
I never saw the Marine but it looked ludicrous. Not say that “The Condemned” wasn’t, but I like the plot a lot. The Marine looked like a fake ass “Commando”.
it was but if you forget the plot and just go for action its worth it
You could say the same thing about a ton of movies, but they always end up being forgettable at best. I think you are the only person who liked “The Marine”.
The Last Kiss Goodnight > Most
Nightmare on Elm Street 4….uh well it’s better than Nightmare on Elm Street part 2
The Condemned could’ve been better, but was still the best WWE film I just wanted it to be way more gritty.
hey i never said i liked the marine i said the action in it was good the rest of the movie sucked when the opening scene was a war zone man with bodies and parts going every where other than the stunts the movie blows and on a side note yes the condemned could have been more gritty
