Warbringer is another band that along with fellow headbangers Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder, Dekapitator and others whom are aiming to bring the thrash genre back to life. War Without End is their first full length and the first time they get to fully show off their chops and see where they stand amongst other bands of the genre.
Quite honestly they are able to hold their own pretty well, coming off more as a band that can hold their own in the genre rather than a band who merely means to pay tribute to it. For instance the guitar playing is top notch especially considering their age. One of the things that stands out about it the most is the fact that they have already managed to master the art of solo placement.
While it may seem small to some one of the biggest pet peaves I have with some thrash bands is the fact that at times it seems that they only have solos in songs because they feel they should be there, not to improve the song. This ultimately leads to the flow of the song being disrupted. Warbringer have already seem to have an understanding of having solos that go somewhere and fit in the song.
On the other side of the music you have the drums. While some of the more generic thrash bands simply rely on blast beats 99% of the time making an album sound repetitive and boring, Warbringer make sure to add variance to the drum sound. Sounds like something small, but to hear the two differences side to side you hear just how bad it can make things.
Lastly, you have the vocals which I’ll admit are the weakest part of the package. That’s not to say that the vocals are bad but rather they don’t stand out above the music, which considering the music is so strong that’s not a knock to the vocalist by any means. Plus you have to consider that this is Warbringer’s first full length album and most bands of the genre don’t find their vocal peak until a few albums in.
As far as debuts come War Without End is as solid as I’ve heard in awhile and with a little more fine tuning I’m sure the band will surely shake things up in the genre.

I gotta check this one out.
I like this album, especailly the music the vocalist sounds like a whiny bitch at times, but for the most part its good. This will be a great band when the singers balls drop.
