New Poll - Vote for Best Picture

Shane and I have been having a long running debate on what is actually going to win Best Picture at this year’s Oscars. His pick is “Atonement”, I say “No Country For Old Men” (although I am pulling for either “Juno” or “Michael Clayton”). What do you think? The poll is on the right and at the bottom of this post. Read the rest of the post for trailers of each film.

Atonement

Juno

Michael Clayton

No Country for Old Men

There Will Be Blood

Oh, sure, pick on the Democratic governors. What about all those people Arnold Schwarzenegger mercilessly mowed down before being crushed by a hydraulic press?

  1. who really cares its all bogus any way

  2. How do you figure they are bogus? It’s the most prestigious award in cinema. They just fucked up the nominees this year is all.

  3. every year real movies that real people see are not nominees people dont want reality in there makebelive man they want crazy shit that almost never really happens thats why when you look at the avreage persons collection of movies the comides and action/adventure out number the docs. and close to real life ones. but the later are the ones that always get nominated. think how hard it is to say a funny one liner straight faced and sound like you mean it than to say a line that you can really get behined. i do admit that the artsy fartsy fuck heads have a harder time getting in to character but come on, all they have to really do is just be that person. shity cheesy action takes skill to do and pull off with out making yourself out to be an ass. this is why i feel its bogus and really only care about the actors guild awards they pick em and they do the work too so its from one to another, not based on sales and what some belive to be talent. whats sad though is i dont watch eather of them.
